It is never too late to move…….

In 1989 I made the decision to leave Johannesburg, South Africa and make the move to London. I was full of mixed emotions leaving the country which I grew up in and knew so well, to start a new life thousands of miles away, but I knew it was the right thing for me to do. Before my move to London, I completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Sociology and worked as a para legal for a law firm, where I ran my own conveyancing department for many years.

I have spent the last 27 years living and working in St John’s Wood and this is the place I love and call my home!!!

As property law was very different in South Africa compared to the United Kingdom, I decided to embark on a career change. I started my first position in an Estate Agency in London thinking I would last a few months and then move on, but I soon discovered that I really loved finding people a home. This was no longer a business but something that I became passionate about and I am lucky enough to retain that feeling to this present day.

A natural sensitivity enables me to deal with a large variety of people from all works of life and ethnic groups. I can honestly say that no two days are the same. For me this is a “fun” job and I love it!

I have become a very familiar face on St John’s Wood High Street as I run from appointment to appointment, bumping into many of the people I have dealt with over the years and obviously never missing the opportunity to pop in to shops for a new pair of shoes or an outfit! I have gained a wealth of knowledge during this time and have met some incredible and interesting people from all over the world who have supported me in helping to shape my career.

Following a very positive move to Laurence Leigh Residential, I am now able to spread my wings in the property world as I am selling both houses and apartments, which is something I have always wanted to do. Under the watchful eye of Laurence Leigh, I have encountered a team of dedicated and hardworking people. Nothing is too much effort to ensure that clients, applicants, landlords and tenants alike have their property transactions handled in a manner which ensures that the things run as smoothly and as stress free as possible. This same attitude prevails in the office itself where team work and a generosity of spirit guarantees every day to be “a happy day”.
